2024 Laborie Steel Pan Workshop Itinerary
*Wed. Jan. 3rd– Travel to Saint Lucia
7PM – dinner provided at Mama Rose restaurant. Welcome participants, introduce the team.
*Thur - Jan 4th – Workshop begins
9 am – Meet at Laborie Pan Yard for organized walking tour of Laborie with Rowan Joyeux to discuss history and architecture in Laborie & locate local amenities (restaurants, shops, market, etc…)
10:30 - bus ride to the Massy Supermarket
12:30 – Light lunch provided at Mama Rose Restaurant
4-6:45 PM Steel Band Rehearsal with Andy – Laborie Pan Yard
7PM – Dinner provided at Mama Tilly restaurant

10 am – Masterclass with Jason – Pan Yard
4-6:45 PM Steel Band Rehearsal with Andy – Laborie Pan Yard
*Sat Jan. 6th
10 am - rehearsal for Live at Mama Rose (pan yard)

Two morning event options:
a. (7am-11am) Hike to Banse and return via La Haut and Morne Leblanc (or)
b. 9 am Laborie Catholic Church Service
3:30 - 4:30 PM – rehearsal for “Live @ Mama Rose” – Pan Yard
5 PM – set up at Mama Rose
6 PM – “Live @ Mama Rose” – jam session led by Andy Narell

10 am- Masterclass #1 with Andy
4-6:45PM Steel Band Rehearsal – Pan Yard
7PM – Dinner Provided at Mama Tilly’s Restaurant
*Tue., Jan. 9th
6:30 am – Meet at Laborie Market Square to leave for sulfur hot springs (or New Jerusalem)/Piton overlook excursion
9am – Return to Laborie
*Naptime – a requirement to COMPLETE the sulfur hot springs session!
4 PM -6:45PM – Steel Band Rehearsal – Pan Yard
7:30 - 10 pm - party at Andy/Anita.(Anita’s birthday!).

10 am- Masterclass #2 with Andy at Pan Yard
2-3:30 PM *High pan sectional at the pan yard (or free time)
4 -6:45 PM Steel Band Rehearsal – Laborie Pan Yard

10 am – Group lesson with Andy (technique and improvisation) – Pan Yard
2-3:30 PM *Low pans sectional at the pan yard (or free time)

9am-11aM Visit to Balenbouche botanical garden - guided hike around estate to view flora, the ocean, and sugar plantation factory ruins.
12 Noon – Lunch at Zoe’s restaurant
4 -6:45 PM Steel Band Rehearsal – Pan Yard

Two morning event options:
a. RDV TITOU 9:30 to swim at TITOU and volleyball or basketball at Andy and Anita’s Home.
b. (or) b. Laborie Catholic Church Service - 10am
3pm – meet at Pan Yard – sound check/rehearsal
5PM – FINAL CONCERT!! Plus Laborie Steel Pan!
7:30PM - Farewell party for workshop participants and Laborie Steel Pan members at Mama Rose (dinner provided)
*Mon. Jan 15th – End of Workshop. Travel home
